About the FL SAND Fellows Leadership Program

The FL SAND Fellows Leadership Program is an immersive training program for experienced self-advocate leaders committed to further development of problem solving, leadership, and management skills. In addition to virtual training sessions, Fellows’ assignments range from providing technical assistance to the FL SAND board of directors and network of self-advocacy groups, to developing training in self-advocacy-related topics through FL SAND’s Breaking Barriers Training Academy.

Duration of Fellowship

Fellows are paid and serve for one year with the possibility of a one-year extension. Time commitment for Fellowships vary but generally range from four to eight hours a week. Training and project work is conducted virtually but Fellows do travel 1-2 times a year in Florida.
