Idelio Valdes Award Nominations Due February 23

Nominations for the 2017 Idelio Valdes Leadership and Advocacy Award given by the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC) are open until February 23. The award will be given during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day at the State Capitol March 21.

The award is given annually to an individual with a developmental disability who has been actively involved in self-advocacy at the grassroots and/or state level for at least 2 years and has worked to forge community partnerships.

Nominations should be forwarded to the FDDC by 5pm February 23. Download this PDF to learn more about the award and nomination process.
